Otteluennakko – Eagles vs. Crocodiles 23.7
The Eagles men are hosting the Seinäjoki Crocodiles on 23.7 to kick off a four week stretch of home games. The last time Eagles faced the Crocodiles was in Seinäjoki, losing 67-0 (47-0), so we asked our coaches Charlie Ovey (HC/DC) and Kari Leivoja (OC) for some insight ahead of this rematch in Kotka.
Charlie Ovey:
Q: What have you taken away from the last game against the Crocodiles?
A: The last game against Seinäjoki saw very little go right for us, but the clear takeaway was the resilience the team showed until the final whistle. I look forward to seeing it again in what will be a tough matchup for us.
Q: Do we have any notable changes since the last time the Eagles played the Crocs?
A: The big change is Darrien as our QB, and the developing chemistry between him and our offensive players.
Q: What Eagles players should the home crowd look out for?
A: Atte Jokinen, Watka Hyvärinen, and Jamarcus Henderson have all been playing better and better the last few weeks. Peter Anderson has quietly been having a very impressive season and I look forward to seeing it continue.
Kari Leivoja:
Q: Miten hyökkäys on valmistautunut tulevaan kotiotteluun?
A: Me ollaan valmistauduttu samalla tavalla kuin muihinkin otteluihin, mutta ollaan keskitytty korjaamaan niitä virheitä mitä viime ottelussa tehtiin ja jatkamaan siitä mihin Darrienin kanssa jäätiin Kuopion pelissä.
Q: Millainen vastustaja Karhulaan saapuu lauantaina?
A: Varmasti hyvin motivoitunut jengi, jolla on erittäin kova puolustuksen linja.
Q: Mitkä on omat odotukset lauantailta?
A: Se että me saataisiin hyökkäys toimimaan ja päästäisiin tekemään niitä hommia mitä ollaan treenattu.
